The Robeson County Animal Control program consists of the Robeson County Animal Shelter and Animal Control Officers.
The Animal Shelter is located in St. Pauls, NC between Fayetteville and Lumberton off Interstate 95. The physical address is 255 Landfill Road. The Shelter hours are Monday through Friday from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am until noon. The Robeson County Animal Shelter participates in foster care and adoption programs. Animal Control Officers pick up stray animals, investigate suspected cases of animal cruelty, and work closely with the Animal Shelter to facilitate pet adoptions, rabies vaccinations, as well as spaying and neutering programs.
Robeson County Animal Services offers a FREE spay and neuter program to most Robeson County Residents! This program offers income eligilbe pet owners a voucher to have thier pet sterilized at any of the Veterinarians in Robeson County. Interested parties should bring proof of income (or medicaid/foostamp card) an ID with a Robeson County address to the shelter at 255 Landfill Road St. Pauls, NC 28384. Spay and Neuter Program (910-671-3205)
The Robeson County Humane Society offers a spay and neuter program. This program offers eligible owners, which receive public assistance, a voucher to have their pets sterilized at a reduced cost. The goal of the program is to prevent animal overpopulation and cruelty. All persons interested in applying should come to the Robeson County Health Department's side door next to Robeson Family Dentistry (Environmental Health entrance) at 460 Country Club Road, Lumberton on Mondays (from 11 a.m. until noon) or Thursdays (from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.). Only the pet's owner can apply. Bring $25 per pet, current verification of assistance being received, and a photo id with current address.
