The Management Support Division is comprised of the Vital Records Deputy Registrar, three individual units and a Division Director.  It is the mission of the Management Support Division staff of the Robeson County Health Department to provide the highest quality clerical and support services to the health, management and other professional personnel associated with this agency, thus, enabling them to render more efficient services and programs to the citizens of Robeson County.

 

Program Support Unit Supervisor

The Program Support Unit is responsible for a variety of support activities ranging from record maintenance to general secretarial duties.  Secretarial support for the Nursing Director and Nursing Supervisors and Health Services Information System (HSIS) billing are performed under the direction of the Program Support Supervisor.  Additional activities performed by this Unit include support to the Personnel Director and the development and revision of in-house agency forms.

The following programs receive management support services from this Unit:

 

Child Health, Child Service Coordination, Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention, Home Health, Environmental Health, Immunization Action Plan, Ancillary Services

 

Records Support Unit Supervisor

The Records Support Unit provides clerical services for registration of patients for clinical services.  Other duties include posting lab test results and general record maintenance.  Agency switchboard and mail operations are additional services provided under the direction of the Medical Records Supervisor.  The following programs receive management support services from this Unit:

 

Immunizations,  Communicable Disease, Orthopedic, Tuberculosis, Women’s Health.

 

WIC Support Unit Supervisor

The WIC Support Unit is responsible for income determination and the issuance of food instruments that may be redeemed at approved WIC vendor establishments.  Food instruments are used for the purchase of a variety of nutritious food high in protein, vitamins and minerals.  Additional responsibilities of the Unit include scheduling appointments, medical record maintenance and clerical support for agency nutritionists.

WIC Support staff assists nutritionists in providing services to post-partum women who deliver their infants at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

 

Members of this Unit provide training to local vendors for the sale of WIC approved foods and the redemption of food instruments.
