Staffed by public health nurses and/or social workers, Child Service Coordination is a voluntary program that links families with available community resources. Child development screenings are provided in the home free of charge. Services are available to all children birth to age 3, and for children birth to age 5 with special needs. Others may be eligible if there are significant concerns about their health, growth or development.

In partnership with the Lumberton Children’s Clinic, the Child Health Plus Clinic provides comprehensive child health and wellness care for patients ages birth to 21 years of age. A physician is available each day to address the child’s health care needs. Services include well child care, checkups, preventative services, immunizations, sick visits and referrals to specialists, when necessary. Appointments are encouraged. Medicaid, private insurance and self-payment accepted. Sliding fee scale available based upon income eligibility.
The Child Health Plus Bus is a mobile clinic offering comprehensive health care services for children birth to 21 years of age. Services offered on the mobile health clinic include well childcare, sick visits, immunizations and check-ups. Also available are kindergarten health assessments and sports and cheerleading physicals. Self-pay, private insurances and Medicaid are accepted.
