The Teen Outreach Program (T.O.P.) is a nationally recognized, evidence –based youth development model that includes the following program components: community service, classroom based activities and service learning. T.O.P. participants engage in activities that foster personal development, discover and develop new skills, and explore career options as they take on roles of responsibility and leadership in the Robeson County community. T.O.P. gives youth a sense of purpose, helps them acquire valuable life skills and promotes healthy behaviors. T.O.P. has proven to lower the rates of academic failure, school suspension, pregnancy, and school dropouts. This program is funded by the North Carolina Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative (TPPI).
Teen Outreach Program Lesson Topics: sexting, bullying, healthy relationships, sexually transmitted diseases, media influences, college prep, hygiene, puberty, community service, teen pregnancy, and decision making.
